Quote:
"If the highest aim of a captain were to preserve his ship, he would keep it in port forever." --Thomas Aquinas

I'm not sure why but this quote made me think. Made me think more than most quotations do. What can it apply to? Life. Relationships. Business. Sailors?

Food:
I made banana bread on Saturday. From scratch. All by myself. And it tasted really good.

Book:
I read "The Time Traveler's Wife" for a couple hours today. And it's kinda scummy. I'm a bit disappointed. I put it out of sight under my bed so I wouldn't be tempted to read it. But I think I just need to give it away (maybe sell it? I'm broke) because every time I look at my bed it's like the book is calling to me. "Hey! Elizabeth! I'm under here! Come read me!" But I don't want to. It's scummy.

Music:
"Fireflies" by Owl City -- This is a very good song. Very. (<---click the bold letters to hear it...and see it.)

Tucker at his birthday party, with the cool cake Anna made. Happy 5th birthday, Tuck-Tuck!

Speaking of birthdays, happy day Charlie! Are you jealous of the mask I got in the mail for his party? You should be. It's SEWIOUS!

New hair cut. Not bad for $14, huh? (It actually cost $17 because they tricked me by asking if I wanted my hair washed, but didn't say it cost an extra $3! Oh, BYU, you are such cheapskates.)

Really fun invitation. I'm so over the normal, everyday, forgettable invitations that I see.

For some reason these pictures got me anxious to have a flower garden--especially if I could have some of the plants inside in beakers. Am I right?

I was thinking today, I like how old men sing.

I like the feel of men's dress shirts.

I like baked potatoes.

I like laughing.

I like back-scratches.

I like sweatshirts and jeans.

I like my hair.

I was thinking today, I like my life.

#1 is the song played during the trailer for "Away We Go." #14 is at the end of "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian." #3 is in "17 Again" but not on the soundtrack they sell. #8 is partially in French, but I didn't know that at first. So I just thought he was drooling out nonsensical lyrics. If you want to be one of the cool kids, listen to #4 and know who Feist is.

Where would I be without music? I'd be nearly as bad off as if I was without family. Or Sensuous Sandwich. Woah. I know. Bad.
